They have done it once again!
Tonight, the Gretna Public Schools Board of Education received the prestigious President’s Award from the Nebraska Association of School Boards. As the highest honor awarded to a school board in Nebraska, only one district in the state receives this recognition each year.
For Gretna, this marks an extraordinary achievement. The Board has now earned the award for the 32nd time in the past 33 years.
With more than 240 school boards across Nebraska, none can match the consistent dedication and accomplishments of the Gretna Board of Education. The President’s Award is earned through a commitment to ongoing professional development, including attending conferences and educational sessions that strengthen board leadership and deepen members’ understanding of their responsibilities.
The Gretna School Board’s continued success also reflects its ability to work together as a unified team. Board members remain focused on a shared mission: doing what is best for children.
That commitment to collaboration and student-centered decision-making has long set Gretna apart. Once again, the Gretna Public Schools Board of Education has demonstrated why it continues to be recognized as a leader among school boards across Nebraska.
